The latest data shows that in the first half of 2024, the United States imported a total of 134.31 million tires, an increase of 13.5% year-on-year. Among them, the import of passenger car tires increased by 8% year-on-year to 82.46 million pieces; The import of truck tires increased by 27% year-on-year to 29.3 million units; Aircraft tires decreased by 8% year-on-year to 151,000; Motorcycle tires increased by 31% year-on-year to 1.54 million units; Bicycle tires decreased by 3% year-on-year to 2.99 million.





In the first half of the year, the United States imported a total of 12.8 million tires from China, a year-on-year increase of 7%. Among them, the number of passenger car tires decreased 34% year-on-year to 790,000; The number of truck tires decreased 26% year-on-year to 830,000.



In the first half of the year, the United States imported a total of 32.75 million tires from Thailand, a year-on-year increase of 36%. Among them, there were 20.3 million passenger car tires, a year-on-year increase of 31%; There were 8.52 million car tires on the truck, a year-on-year increase of 42%.



Thailand and China are the main importers of tires from the United States.
