SunSirs: The Cumulative Export of Textiles and Clothing from January to July 2024 Increased by 1.1% Year-on-year

The latest data from the General Administration of Customs shows that textile and clothing exports in July experienced an unexpected decline despite a relatively low base. In US dollars, the export value of textiles and clothing for the month was 26.8 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5% from positive to negative.



From January to July 2024, the cumulative export of textiles and clothing reached 169.84 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.1%. Among them, the export of textiles was 80.86 billion US dollars, an increase of 3.3%, and the export of clothing was 88.98 billion US dollars, a decrease of 0.8%.



In July, textile and clothing exports amounted to 26.8 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5% and a month on month decrease of 2.2%. Among them, textile exports amounted to 11.54 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 4% and a month on month decrease of 5.8%, while clothing exports amounted to 15.25 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 3.6% and a month on month increase of 0.7%.
