The average price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 2,101 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 2,083 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.87% during the week.

Analysis review

This week, the domestic market price range for industrial grade sodium metabisulfite was 1,850-2,000 RMB/ton, with most prices concentrated around 1,900 RMB/ton. The upstream soda ash price of sodium metabisulfite remained stable this week, and the market for sodium metabisulfite was sluggish, with inquiries dominating the market.

Market outlook

As August 16th, the sodium metabisulfite market lacked favorable support, and it is expected that the domestic market price will mainly fluctuate and weaken in the short term.
