On August 19th, the soda ash market in Central China saw a downward trend, with mainstream market prices for light soda ash ranging from 1,600-1,850 RMB/ton, a decrease of 50 RMB/ton; The mainstream market price for heavy soda ash was around 1,750-1,950 RMB/ton, with a price drop of 50 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

The utilization rate of on-site production capacity was high, the market supply was sufficient, the shipment of enterprises was poor, and there were expectations of cold repairs downstream, which limited the support for soda ash and weakened the soda ash market.
