Guangdong papermaking looks at Dongguan, and Dongguan papermaking looks at Zhongtang.

Recently, the 2024 Guangdong Province Small and Medium Enterprises Characteristic Industrial Clusters were announced, and two industrial clusters in Dongguan were selected, and the Zhongtang Town Papermaking and Paper Products Industrial Cluster is one of them.

Zhongtang Town is located in the lower reaches of the Dongjiang River. Within the jurisdiction of 59.8 square kilometers, 64 papermaking and paper products enterprises have gathered. At present, it has built a papermaking and paper products industry cluster integrating the entire industrial chain such as headquarters, research and development, design, production, testing, sales, and recycling. It is the only area in Dongguan with a full industrial chain of papermaking and paper products. As one of the traditional industries, the transformation and upgrading of the papermaking industry has attracted much attention. This year, the Dongguan Municipal Government’s "No. 1 Document" mentioned that "focusing on the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries" is a major theme. Among them, papermaking and packaging printing industries have become the key planning objects of the "No. 1 Document". In recent years, through efforts such as optimizing the industrial structure, introducing cutting-edge digital equipment, building a full industrial chain, and developing green and low-carbon models, Zhongtang's papermaking industry has shown a new look.
