Price trend
The market price of ECH had slightly increased this week. As of September 6th, the benchmark price of ECH in SunSirs was 8,000.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.16% compared to the beginning of this month (7,987.50 RMB/ton).
Price influencing factors:
Raw material side: Recently, the price of raw material propylene had decreased and the price of liquid chlorine had increased, resulting in a situation of mixed ups and downs in the raw material side. The market support for ECH was still acceptable. The price of raw material glycerol had fallen slightly, and overall, the cost pressure had eased. According to the market analysis system of SunSirs, as of September 6th, the benchmark price of propylene in SunSirs was 6,938.25 RMB/ton, a decrease of -0.43% compared to the beginning of this month (6,968.25 RMB/ton).
Equipment situation: Hubei Minteng, Hebei Jinbang, Zhejiang Zhenyang and other equipment were parked; Fengyi Oil's 100,000 tons/year glycerol plant was shut down on September 4th, and the restart time will be notified separately; In addition, there was also a portion of long-term parking. According to the report, the overall operating rate of the ECH industry within the week was 50-60%.
Downstream demand side: Downstream epoxy resin rigid demand small orders were being followed up. With the rise in costs, manufacturers faced increased cost pressure, and some companies were experiencing price increases. Early delivery orders were the main focus, and there was insufficient follow-up for new orders. The market center was changing steadily, with stronger trend.
Market outlook
The ECH analyst of SunSirs believes that short-term costs and supply side support were still acceptable, with downstream demand buying as the main focus, insufficient follow-up of new orders, and cautious procurement of raw materials. It is expected that the ECH market will operate smoothly in the short term, and more attention still needs to be paid to changes in raw material prices.
