According to data from the China Iron and Steel Association, in August 2024, the country produced 77.92 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 10.4%, and a daily output of 2.5135 million tons, a month on month decrease of 6.1%; Producing 68.14 million tons of pig iron, a year-on-year decrease of 8.8%, with a daily output of 2.1981 million tons, a month on month decrease of 4.6%; Produced 110.9 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 6.50%, with a daily output of 3.5774 million tons, a month on month decrease of 3.0%.

From January to August, the cumulative production of crude steel in China was 691 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.3%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.8336 million tons; Produced 578 million tons of pig iron, a year-on-year decrease of 4.3%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.3676 million tons; Production of steel reached 926 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.4%, with a cumulative daily output of 3.794 million tons.
