https://www.chemnet.com   Nov 16,2007 BASF
BASF will begin expanding its production capacity for epsilon-caprolactone (CLO) with a first project to raise its annual capacity by up to 2,000 metric tons in 2008. In line with market growth, further capital has been earmarked for projects to expand CLO and its value chain in subsequent years.

BASF has been producing CLO since 2001 and currently makes it at its Freeport, Texas (U.S.) site. CLO and its polymers are used as intermediates in a variety of applications in many industries including TPU, adhesives and coatings, where it provides a high-quality combination of properties.
